小柳友理子主任研究員が日本人の飲酒行動を決定づける遺伝的構造を解明、食道がんリスクとの関連を明らかにし、本研究成果は”Genetic architecture of alcohol consumption identified by a genotype-stratified GWAS, and impact on esophageal cancer risk in Japanese people”と題してアメリカ科学振興協会（AAAS）のオンライン科学雑誌「Science Advances」（2024年1月26日付：日本時間1月27日）に掲載されました。
